This Privacy Policy explains how DRC CONGO APP PTY LTD ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the DRC VD mobile application (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

The App does not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number, email address or any other directly identifying information in order to use the App.
Content you create inside the App (such as notes you write) and your app preferences are stored locally on your device only. We do not upload this content to our servers. It is removed when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data in your device settings.
When the App checks for its configuration or loads content from the internet, our servers (and the hosting providers we use) automatically receive standard technical information that any web request contains. This may include:

Parts of the App display web content. When such content is loaded, the operator of that content and the App's embedded browser component may store cookies, cache files or similar local storage on your device, and may receive technical information such as your IP address and device type. The handling of that information is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the content concerned.
The App requests network access in order to download its configuration and display content, and, on older Android versions, storage access limited to saving files you explicitly download. The App does not request access to your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, SMS messages or call logs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for interest-based advertising.

Content stored locally on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Technical server logs are kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, and are then deleted or anonymised. Where a shorter retention period is required by law, we apply it.

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data transmitted between the App and our servers is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
